Implant Cases
Actual cases treated by Dr. Lau
Our patient fell and fractured his upper left central incisor and traumatized multiple front teeth. Wire splint was initially placed to stabilize teeth.
Fractured incisor was removed and an implant placed on the same day. A temporary crown was placed on the implant to preserve the soft tissue contour.
Smile was restored with final porcelain crowns on the implant and the adjacent lateral incisor. Bonding was also done on other front teeth to achieve harmony.
Our patient fractured his upper second molar. With 3D planning, tooth was removed, an implant placed immediately after with a slight lifting of the sinus membrane. Final crown was placed on the implant 4 months later.
Our patient has been missing his lower first molar for years. The second molar had root fracture, causing an infection and could not be saved. The second molar was removed and bone graft was done to increase bone volume. Two implants were placed after the bone graft healed. 3D planning allows for more precise placement of the implants, while avoiding vital structures like nerves.
